1. Program structure

Year 1: Foundation year in design education

Study design thinking, plus theory and practical design skills

Year 2: Specialisation and experimentation

Choose to specialise in two of the following streams:

Graphics & visual communication

Illustration & digital imaging

3D concepts in interiors and exteriors

Fashion design

Year 3: Studio V and internship

Build an impressive portfolio work by taking part in a Studio V project of work and getting industry experience through an internship placement.

Entry requirements

Academic

  • High school graduation diploma with a minimum GPA of 7.0/10.0 for Grade 12

English

  • IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5+ (no band below 6.0); or

  • TOEFL iBT 79+ (with minimum score of 13 in reading, 12 in listening, 18 in speaking and 21 in writing); or

  • Successfully complete RMIT English Advanced
